Apparently, They Only Moved the Headstones

Imagine my surprise, sifting through old newspaper stories from the fifties, when I came across this Poltergeistesque story from 1957 about a North Long Beach community built atop an ancient burial ground.  Of course, there were no headstones in this case as it truly was an ancient burial ground, hundreds of years old.  The discovered bones in someone's backyard led to an investigation and then the realization that this wasn't a cold case but a case for the Long Beach State College anthropology class which, it turns out, dug up the site and sent the artifacts to a museum.  I guess Dr. Jones would be happy.
