The Devil Don't Do Ya the Same Way Twice

Unless, of course, the first try wasn't entirely successful (the Devil does fuck up sometimes).

Still, it would seem each person's method of demise is set in stone, so in the case of Mrs. Thorn, whose ability to withstand a fall was severely underestimated by the Prince of Darkness, the fall is simply increased, tenfold.

Desired outcome achieved...

...the little shit.

ah, the good ol' Omen. the damn scene with the dogs in the graveyard gets me every time.

I love that scene too, culminating just as they discover the jackal skeleton in the mother's grave. It's a great scene.

Yeah, I really enjoy this movie. Lots of horror aesthetes harumph their way through it but it works for me and that wonderful cast doesn't hurt a lick either.

I've always liked The Omen. It's pretty well made and it's nice to have a horror movie that takes itself seriously while still not getting too deep into emotional intensity.

I've had an odd desire to see Omen II again as well but it's not on instant and it takes me forever to watch a DVD and send it back to Netflix so I guess I'll be seeing it again in early March or so. I saw it in the theatre when it came out and, believe it or not, that's the only time I've seen it.

Yeah, I want to revisit Damien: Omen II the way I want to brush up against a cheap tart wearing too much drugstore perfume.

So... you do want to revisit it? I know it got awful reviews but I'm going on a 32 year old memory here and all I can remember is Elizabeth Shepherd getting attacked by a crow and run over by a truck. I'd like to see what the hell else happened in the movie that I've completely forgotten.

THE OMEN is very solid and nothing to be ashamed of. After that...well, I think in OMEN II, doesn't Meshach Taylor get electrocuted in half by elevator wires? Or something?

Hey, how did I miss this comment?! Well, anyway, probably too late now for anyone to notice but yes, it is a solid piece of filmmaking. Richard Donner's one of those great workmanlike directors who can do a solid job on just about any genre without really putting any kind of significant fingerprint on it.

Amazing movie! The Omen is definitely one of the best horror movies of all time. I also like the recent version of this movie with Julia Stiles.
