I don't know what is this "horror" of which you speak, but I like all the pretty pictures!
But seriously, folks, I am well and properly teased. I was already looking forward to October myself, and now it looks like there may be at least 31 new reasons to get all happy about it. It is an understatement to say I'm really looking forward to seeing more of what Cinema Styles has lying in wait beyond the door!
Thanks, Dennis. Hopefully, what will be lying in wait beyond the door will be more than just last minute slapped together retreads and lazy video posts. Of course, there will be those things, but I expect there will be more good stuff.
I still haven't decided if I'm going to do my normal October thing. I just don't know. I'm looking forward to whatever the fuck you have planned, though!
Well, it'll be more like last year, which was around 3 to 4 posts a week (total of 19 posts) instead of like 2008, which was 35 posts. It will be my fourth October at Cinema Styles and I haven't done the same movie twice yet.
I've watched a few newer ones recently and am definitely looking to cover the more hardcore recent ones (last 10 years or so) over the older ones that I have covered pretty regularly. I mean, I'll still cover those too, but I'd like to examine the nightmarish quality of new horror that doesn't always work for me, and discuss why.

I am waiting see what's beyond the door, too.
Meanwhile, over at my place, I'll be covering Asian horror movies, again.
As far as new horror films go, the French seem to have gotten particularly savage in recent years with films like High Tension and Martyrs.
Of course you are always welcome to review my archives if you're in the mood to, ahem, Thai one on.
I want to see what's beyond the door, too..
As long as you don't ask what's behind the green door.
I think I already know the answer to that one. It's cocks, right?
Oh no.
Wait, is Larry answering Bill with a "no" or saying, "oh no" because October's coming again? Hold on, why did I even ask that question?
Larry Aydlette = Halloween Hater.
Can't wait for the door to bang open.
Me neither, come on October. Best month of the year.
So was I right? Is it cocks?
Bill, whatever your imagination says is behind the door is behind. It's all up to you.
13 comments! How perfect is that?!
Oh, wait... did I fuck it up?
What's the next spooky number? We should strive to get these comments to whatever number that is. Is fifteen scary?
We could go for either 217 from The Shining (book) or 237 from The Shining (movie). Okay, everybody, get cracking!
Only 200 to go!

all work and no play makes jack a dull boy
all work and no play makes jack a dull boy
all work...
198 to go!
Another lighthearted Halloween full of gentle tricks and happy treats. It warms the cockles of my blood-spurting heart.
Do some Japanese horror, Greg, pretty please?
I will. I plan on going more with new horror this year, including Japanese horror.
