Calling All Krauthammers!
A TOERIFC All Points Bulletin

It occurs to me that the next TOERIFC movie, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, is coming up soon but...

I don't know when!

And I cannot locate any e-mail anywhere for the mysterious Krauthammer who is the one covering it. So, Krauthammer, please comment below or e-mail me as to when the hell we're doing this thing. The 16th or the 23rd would work best. Let me know which is preferable.

And until we all find out when this is going to happen, everyone please get a hold of a copy of Paul Schrader's Mishima and give it a look so you can join in the discussion. Thanks.

Krauthammer strikes again! Does his treachery know no bounds?

When I lay my hands on that guy... to the moon!

Gah, Greg's gonna punch me again. Anyway, the 23rd should work just fine for me.
My email is tadkrauthammer (squigglyatsign)gmail.com so that this horrible horrible event never happens again.

Krauthammer is in the house. Or was last night at 11:36. Okay so the Monday before Thanksgiving we will hold discussion on Mishima. Sounds good. Thanks.

I was thinking about reading Mishima's TEMPLE OF THE GOLDEN PAVILION in preperation for this, because that book figures prominently in the film as I remember, but now I don't know if I'll get around to it. That would have been pretty cool though, wouldn't it?

It would have been. I was likewise planning on filming my own version starring my cat and distributing it to TOERIFC members but I don't think I'll have time now. But that would've been awesome cool!

That WOULD have been awesome cool. Mishima's fiction does lend itself quite well to an all-cat interpretation.

In the meantime, you can rent a film starring Mishima, Afraid to Die from Netflix. Also, Ken Ogata, the actor who portrays Mishima in Schrader's film, is worth seeing in other movies, with my recommending Vengeance is Mine and Castle of Sand.

Bill, it's true. He was Rum-Tum-Tugger of a guy.

Peter, what do you mean "in the meantime?" There is no "in the meantime." I have to get this cat production up and running now!

Greg, I meant for anyone else reading the comments. You too, if you get tired of being a cat wrangler.

Greg will never tire of feline cinema. It's what gives his life meaning.
