One Last Reminder: TOERIFC Monday Approaches

October 19th is TOERIFC Monday which means Tom Sutpen will be hosting this month's discussion at his place. No, not the well-manicured grounds of Sutpen's Hundred but the well-manicured blog Illusions Travel by Streetcar. The movie? Kiss Me, Stupid directed by the legendary Billy Wilder. Our discussions usually begin at 10:00 EST and I encourage everyone to check out the movie and join in the discussion. It is readily available on Amazon and i-tunes so there's no excuse not to. See you there!

I'm glad you reminded me, even though I have the notice on my website. I hope to be able to participate, but the festival is still going strong. If I don't, I'll be reading what y'all have to say.

Not Halloween = boring.

Thanks Marilyn. Obviously your review of films for the festival takes precedence. Hope you can drop by but no problem if you can't.

I don't Arbo. Kim Novak's pretty scary in it.

I, on the other hand, do Arbo.

I hope to get a chance to watch this this weekend and join in. Looking forward to it.

That's weird. I was looking at Arbo's equation but thinking it in my head as a statement, "I think anything not Halloween is boring" hence my reply, "I don't Arbo." I suppose a comma would have helped matters and more coffee.

Ed - You, Bill and Fox are three of the biggest comment contributors we've got. Marilyn is too but she's already bowing out so dude - BE THERE!

I'm really going to try, guys. It's not so much the writing I have to keep up with - it's my eyes. The thought of watching another movie is starting to make me shake uncontrollably. I need a CARE package full of Visine immediately!

It also appears to be available - in 9 to 10 minute installments - on YouTube. That's where I'll have to watch it in order to be ready by Monday.

I miss stopping by here and everyone elses' blogs but work is kickin' my butt these days, no time to 'net surt. Plus,I'm always out of step with the blogosphere in October as I'm not much of a horror fan. But I'm looking forward to Monday's discussion.

And, Greg, what's the next available slot/date for TOERIFC? I don't have another film picked out yet, but I'd like to get on the calendar again.

Ugh this is embarrassing, but I literally have no way to get a hold of F for Fake at the moment. Could I substitute Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters in instead? I'm really sorry about the short notice.

Pat, I've got to organize that calendar quite frankly. I've got e-mails from people wanting to participate that I still haven't put up and it's all out of whack. Basically we all run in the same order whoever you preceded and followed the first time will work the same this time. I'll get it corrected soon, promise.

Krauthammer - Absolutely no problem. No one even tries to get a hold of the movies until around a week or two before anyway so it's definitely not too short notice. Plus I've seen F for Fake four or five times but Mishima only once years ago and would love to watch it again and discuss for a fuller understanding of it.

Ooh, I'm down with Mishima. I've been wanting to watch that again, too.

I have a doctor's appointment on Monday morning, but hope to be out before the conversation leaves me too far behind...

Krauthammer-

UGH!! I spent the summer writing a 200 page paper of F for Fake specifically for your TOERIFC month! Thanks a lot buddy!

I was attracted to Kim Novak in Kiss Me, Stupid.
