One of my favorite used book store "finds" from a few years back was Zsa Zsa's "How to Catch a Man, How to Kepp a Man, How to Get Rid of a Man." It was printed on pink paper!
I don't happen to have it with me here at work, so sadly I can't share any nuggets of her womanly wisdom. I do remember she said that she and Sanders were better friend after they divorced then when they were married.

Arbo, it can work but not always. I haven't spoken one word to my ex-wife since divorcing her. I have no idea where she is, what she's doing, etc and I don't care.
TCM premiered Lured (1947) last night. It stars Lucille Ball and George Sanders, and I really liked his performance. It wasn't smarmy or arch. Not a great script, but nice performances all around.
Marilyn, I've never seen that. I have seen a couple of pre-fifties Lucille Ball films on TCM and I thought she was pretty good if not necessarily having much screen charisma. Sanders does arch so well it's hard to imagine him doing anything else so his talents get underestimated.

Marilyn, I saw Lured a few months ago, and really liked it. How can you not want to see a Douglas Sirk movie with Boris Karloff in it? I know it was just an extended cameo, but still. It was good stuff, I thought. And you can get it on Netflix.
Bill - I missed the opening credits and didn't realize it was a Sirk movie. It certainly isn't characteristic of his films from the 50s, but I can see his touch. Again, I didn't realize Karloff was in it, but I was thrilled to see him! Again, not a very good script, but a really enjoyable movie to watch for all the great actors.
Right after it, TCM premiered On Our Merry Way, a really fun film with an all-star cast.
Did anyone catch The Kremlin Letter on The Fox Movie Channel last week? George Saunders in drag wasn't as funny I thought it'd be. It was funny yet unsettling, like his final performance as being in Psychomania.
My, that man was born to wear white tie and tails!!
