Surprise, Surprise I'm Bored with my Template

I'm bored with my template again, and oddly enough, Rick Olson just changed his too. People are going to start thinking I'm just a Coosa Creek Copycat if I keep changing my template right after he changes his. But that's okay because people will think what I tell them to think! Okay, so I'm no Charlie Kane but I thought you should know a change is on its way. I'm tired of all the tabs at the top and the pesky way you have to change the banners and the light tan text on on a brown background and yadda, yadda, yadda. Anyway, I'm going for a much cleaner back to basics look with a new template I've just finished designing and am putting the finishing touches on. It's got a superclean uncluttered appearance and right now I just need that to make me feel better to tell you the truth.

And just so this post isn't entirely about my template boredom here's a pic of Rudolph Valentino and Pola Negri in 1926 at the newly built Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California, posing after winning a costumed dance contest there. He wore the same costume he wore in the movie Blood and Sand. Sorry Marilyn, it's the best I could do. I went through all the pics I have and couldn't find one of him as a dance instructor. I did check to see if this one was already available online and could only find a tiny thumbnail of it so hopefully it's one you haven't seen before. Enjoy.

Yea, new look! I still love what you did for mine. (Was that a secret?)

You weren't supposed to let anyone know! Oh, what's the point of anything now? We might as well all give up.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the sidebar banner for that super secret thingy-ma-bobber it's just I've been finishing my template design.

As I plod along trying to get those high school kids to follow through on a new design for mine...

Love the photo, Jonathan. Thanks!

It's like the first ever Dancin' with the Stars. The photo doesn't give specifics on who was involved or how many in the dance contest or if Rudy and Pola won it because... well, because they were Rudy and Pola but I thought it was interesting. Until your question about a pic of him as a dance instructor I must embarrassingly admit I had no knowledge that Valentino was a dancer.

Why would that surprise me?

Surprised at what? That I didn't know or that Valentino was a dancer? If you're surprised I didn't know then may I say I already feel bad enough not knowing very much about such a Hollywood icon. If you're surprised to find he was a dancer then, whew, I'm not the only one.

I hope it's the latter.

WOW. This is shiny and new.

No embellishments. Very, very...simplistic.

Remind me never to visit after I've had a wild night. I'll need my sunglasses.

24/7.

I know it seems I haven't been around. But that's somewhat deceptive. I visit CS (and the EDGE BTW) on a rather frequent basis. It's just that my Mirandacisms don't always sparkle consistently...and the last thing I want to do is disappoint the crowd.

I have been beating the drum *ahem* over at CP for your TOERIFC February discussion. I haven't seen the movie in question. So mum's the word.

Anyway...

If you wanna drop by CP tomorrow night after the Oscars to either commiserate or jump up and down giddily (possibly both if you're in the mood), you're always welcome.

Keep your powder dry, Jonathan.

It is a new year, after all....

Miranda, I think I'll make my comments on the Oscars the day after. I get early, very early for work so if I can even make it to the end I'll immediately fall fast asleep. But I'd be more than happy, and honored to discuss it at your place. Of course, keep in mind it takes me months sometimes to finally seeing all of the nominees. Most the of 2009 films I've seen aren't nominees.

And I can't imagine a Mirandacism that doesn't sparkle.

No, surprised that you would be bored and change your template.

Boy, I missed that joke huh? I thought I heard something sail over my head when I first read your comment but I just thought it was a plane.
