Okay, we're into the second week of the second round of Name That Movie, now on Mondays instead of Saturdays by popular demand. Here's the clip. If it goes a while without being correctly identified I'll put up the second clip, but any fan of the movie should know it from this scene. So go ahead, Name That Movie!
Here's the second clip I was going to use if no one guessed it on the first.

Invaders from Mars
Invaders from Mars. Damn I was third.
Well, that was fast. You know I loved this movie when I was a kid and then you brought it up in a post on Dead of Night that I did and I immediately purchased it online so desperate I was to see it again. I gotta tell you, I still love it.
I'll put up the second clip I was going to use in a second as well as the big clip that I promised.
(1953 version, that is)
Thank you, Brainard.
Okay, the first comment I left was for Flickhead, who was the only comment I saw before typing. Sorry Joseph and Marilyn. I guess this one is well known to many of us. I'm going to put that other clip up now.
Is it The Mars Invaders?
So close. So close.
BTW, I watched The Tin Drum on Saturday and the second disk about its banning in Oklahoma. Is that what you meant to be the controversial part of the discussion? Frankly, I hope we talk about the movie itself, because, like the book, I'm very confused by it.
Marilyn, I wasn't going to bring up the banning at all. I want to discuss the movie.
Wonderful! I need a lot of help with this one.
