And we begin again as Name That Movie, Round 2 gets things rolling. Here's the 20th clip overall and the 1st clip for Round 2. Much trouble with YouTube this morning. It would not process the video so here it is uploaded to Blogger. Good Luck everyone.

UPDATE - This one seems to be stumping everyone so let's go to the clues. It starred one of the queens of seventies cinema. If you know your seventies cinema, only a few actresses should spring to mind. She and her co-star were both Oscar winners before they made this.

A Fish Called Wanda
The Doberman Gang?
Cinexcellence, no it's not Wanda. Keep trying.
Marilyn, I love that answer. I've never seen The Doberman Gang but your guess sent me over to IMDB to read about it: A skilled animal trainer trains a pack of Dobermans to rob a bank for him. Wow, I gotta see that.
The Boys from Brazil?
The Wrong Box?
A strange confluence of events is occuring. Over at Arbo's place today he has a post on a BBC production and mentions other tv productions done by the same folks. Well, the writer of the movie in the clip acted in one of those tv productions and directed one of the movies already guessed at here.
Neither Boys from Brazil or The Wrong Box is right but Kimberly's guess is the closest yet in terms of release date.
Hopscotch.
Bob you're the first one on the board with a point. It is Hopscotch starring Glenda Jackson, one of the great actresses of the seventies. Her costar for the second time, after House Calls, was Walter Matthau.
Oh, and it was written by Bryan Forbes who acted in the BBC's second Quartermass production that Arbo mentions on his post today and he also directed The Wrong Box guessed by Marilyn.
And no Bonus Round this week. The first one out of the gate is a stand-alone.
Yay for me!
Speaking of strange confluences, I had just come back from our local video store where I saw Hopscotch in the racks of the staff's favourites. I actually thought "Hey, I'd love to see that again", but my hands were already full with some recent releases with which I need to catch up.
Damn, kinda wishing I had grabbed it now.
In the mean time, I'm putting my feet up and resting on my laurels. Might as well do it while I can.
Rest away Bob. I have the Criterion Collection of Hopscotch which for a Criterion, is one of the most bare bones I've ever seen. The features? Interview with director and writer and trailer. That's it. And it's Criterion. Still, it's an excellent transfer.
Congrats, Bob!
When I see a Dobermann in a movie - the first thing I think of is The Boys from Brazil.
I haven't seen Hopscotch in something like 20 years so I would have never guessed it.
The Boys of Brazil taught me to say "Cut" when a Doberman starts growling at me.
