Name that Movie 9 is up, complete with audio track. Put your answers in the comment section. And no one go nuclear if someone guesses before you. I think a non-proliferation of jealous comments is always the path to peace. Good luck!
**********UPDATE************
Okay, except for my first ever clip when no one was quite sure there was a game going on this is the longest one has gone without being guessed. So let me provide a clue. The clues will start out general and if still no one gets it they will become very specific until I reveal pretty much everything but the title. So here's the first general clue:
The weapons that these people are protesting set the plot of the movie in motion. That should do it I think. Someone could probably google that and come up with it. I'll find out in the morning if anyone did. Happy Googling!

The War Game? Fail-Safe?
The hubby guesses Morgan.
Hey, finally some guesses. Usually by this point in the day the bonus round has already gone up and been guessed. Finally I have a stumper.
Thank you very much for being the first to throw out a guess Marilyn but I'm afraid it is not The War Game, Fail-Safe, or Morgan.
If..?
If what?
Just kidding, no it's not if either. Sorry.
That's all I've got. Told you I'd have to sit these out.
Well it was a good effort. No one else is even guessing today.
Is it THE WAR GAME, the Peter Watkins film?
And hey, is something up with your layout? I only ask because when I bring the page up, it seems covered in ads that cover some of your own text.
Dammit, how did I not see THE WAR GAME among Marilyn's guesses? Sorry, Marilyn! (: This will teach me not to read so quickly...
Wish I knew early sixties British cinema better. I know you said it's not IF..., but for some reason I want to say it's a Lindsay Anderson film of some sort.
It's not BILLY LIAR, is it?
Brian, there was a bit of a problem with the template there for a while. Seems the person who designed the wordpress template I modified did not expect bloggers with traffic to use the template. Thus the bandwidth was exceeded so I had to go into the html and upload all the jpg and gif files to my own Flickr account and then reinsert them into the template. That'll teach me to be more thorough the next time I modify a template.
And no, it's not The War Game as you now know, neither is it Billy Liar but as a sidenote, I do have a really cool banner I designed several months ago from a screengrab of Billy Liar. I haven't used it yet but eventually. I've got quite a backlog of banners.
Four More Years?t
Almost certainly not.But this scene looks eerily familiar....
KH, which scene in the doc? What time in the movie should I scroll to?
And no, it's not that, but thanks for that link. When I have more time I want to watch that.
This one is proving more difficult than any I've had yet. I may have to start providing some clues.
Is it The Day the Earth Caught Fire?
Johnathan: It's not any specific scene, it's just the first thing that popped to mind.
Is it The Day the Earth Caught Fire?
That's the one! That put's Arbo up to six, more than halfway to the finish line.
Arbo, was it the clue, or did you have a hunch before then?
KH, got it. I thought maybe it was one of the protest scenes.
Bonus Round up shortly.
It took me a few viewings to notice that someone was cutting through the crowd, that it wasn't just stock footage used for the movie but a real event that the movie used for its own ends. I haven't watched The Day the Earth Caught Fire in a few years, so my memories of it aren't fresh... I didn't remember this bit at all and even after I had my suspicions the presence of the peace symbol (in a 1961 movie) made me doubt myself. Your clue did give me a fair amount of confidence in my guess.
I cut it off there because the camera quickly closes in on him and I didn't want him recognized from the sunglasses removal clip in Frames of Reference. I watched it again when downloading the clip and it is a really well made movie. Great lighting, camera set-ups and atmoshpere all around.
