******CLUE NUMBER ONE*****
The actor in the clip was a character actor who in the course of his career appeared in many well known and highly regarded films of the thirties and forties. He often played the villain. Interestingly, his name is the name of a character in a classic Russ Meyer film.
*****CLUE NUMBER TWO*****
The lead actor in this film would later win an Academy Award for Best Actor
*****CLUE NUMBER THREE*****
A third actor in the film was a pilot in World War I and later a stunt pilot. He was also a model airplane enthusiast who had hobby shops in the Los Angeles area until the sixties. During World War II his company created radio controlled target drones for the Army, some 15,000.
If you can figure out all three of those actors, and you should I hope from the clues, you've got it because they only appeared in one movie all together, this one. Two of them, the actor in this clip and the future Oscar winner, appeared again in another movie but this is the only one with all three together.
One last thing: Now that I've provided these clues be quick about it. Arbogast is out there somewhere, ready to pounce.

Curse of the Demon?
I was going to say "the most Dangerous Game", but then the guy looks more like Bela Lugosi that Leslie Banks... "Voodoo man"?
No Marilyn, sorry, it's not Curse of the Demon although I like that movie a lot, until you see the stupid demon. I think Bill and I discussed that a while back.
Gloria, I actually already used The Most Dangerous Game in my second Name That Movie. But you've got the right decade. It is from the thirties.
New to the game, but what the heck . . . this is not quite a wild guess, but close - Werewolf of London?
The Mad Monster?
Voodoo Man?
White Zombie???
Ian, welcome to the game. It's not Werewolf of London though. Sorry.
Flickhead, it pains me to say this but no, no and no. But great guesses nonetheless.
Eegah!!!
That's the sixties. But it's always nice to see the word Eegah no matter what the occasion.
I am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang? I don't know.
KH, nope, sorry. Great movie though, I love that one.
Wow. No idea about the movie. But I did want to say how much I completely love THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME. Also wanted to thank you and Arbo for posting/ID'ing the earlier clip in Round 9. That film looks cool, and I'll have to check it out.
Eegah!!! wasn't the film, but my mental state.
How about The Ape Man?
Return of the Ape Man??
The scene has a PRC/Monogram look.
Brian, I definitely recommend The Day the Earth Caught Fire. It has a great look and feel, good acting and an ambiguous ending, with a classic homage to Citizen Kane thrown in as well. Do give it a look.
Flickhead, it's actually a Paramount production believe it or not. More clues later.
Wouldn't be "The Old Dark House" would it?
Nope, sorry, not Old Dark House either.
The Petrified Forest? The General Died at Dawn? Bulldog Drummond Escapes? Souls at Sea?
Pick one. Fast.
Oh crap.Bulldog Drummond Escapes?
YES!!!!!
The actor in the clip is Porter Hall, also the name of the character in question in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.
Future Oscar winner is Ray Milland.
Pilot and Model Plane Enthusiast is Reginald Denny.
This was the only movie in which all three appeared together.
Nice job Krauthammer.
Krauthammer, you there? Good job.
Krauthammer could not be here to accept his points, so he's asked me to accept them on his behalf.
Brian, you're very generous to do such a wonderful thing as accept Krauthammer's point on his behalf. What a great guy! You're the best.
No, wait! There has been a fatal error! I have never met this "Brian Doan" man and would much less give my hard won (OK, lucked into) point! I demand this charlatan be de-pointed at once and the point returned to its rightful owner!
Finally you show back up. You were out partying weren't you, celebrating your victory. Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of giving away your point. It's in the sidebar now as we speak.
Along with Brian's honest point for getting A Star is Born last week. Brian's a great guy but he has this klepto thing going on with people's points. We're going to work it out though, Brian and I. I'm counseling him now. Already, in just three sessions, many tears have been shed and many truths revealed. I think we're making great progress.
Oh, but how many times have I heard Brian say, "I don't need more help old man! I need points!"
Sure, Krauthammer denies me NOW, but he was the one who made me dress up in the Sacheen Littlefeather outfit.
And I'm not a klepto! That guy gave me the wallet, gave it to me, I swear!
he was the one who made me dress up in the Sacheen Littlefeather outfit.
WE WERE NEVER TO SPEAK OF THAT AGAIN!
*ahem* I mean, what?
